Men's Cargo Shorts - Ripstop Zip Pocket - Long Shorts, Hiking Shorts
These men's ripstop cargo shorts are a knee-length outdoor short built around one problem, which is that an open cargo pocket is somewhere you put things and then spend the rest of the walk checking they are still there. The front-left cargo pocket on these has a second pocket zipped inside it.
The fabric is a woven polyester ripstop, a grid weave that stops a snag from running when the shorts catch on gorse or a wire fence. There is a flap cargo pocket on each thigh with a webbing pull tab, slash hand pockets on both sides, and a welt pocket at the back. The belt loops are wide nylon webbing rather than self-fabric, and the rear waistband carries elasticated inserts that give when you sit down or load both pockets.
Walking, fishing, camping or a warm afternoon in the garden, these are shorts you can load up and then forget about for the rest of the day, with the waistband still sitting where you put it.
Key Features:
- Zipped security pocket sits inside the front-left cargo pocket, so a phone or a wallet is behind a zip while everything else stays quick to reach.
- Polyester ripstop weave holds a snag at one square instead of letting it run down the leg on brambles or a barbed wire fence.
- Wide nylon webbing belt loops take a real belt under load, where self-fabric loops are the ones that tear first.
- Elasticated inserts in the rear waistband give when you sit on a rock or crouch to a tackle box.
- Flap cargo pocket on each thigh sits where your hand already falls, so you reach it without stopping or taking a bag off.
- Knee-length cut keeps the knee covered when you kneel or crouch, which a shorter short does not.
- Articulated seaming through the seat and knee lets you step up onto a stile without the fabric binding across the thigh.
- Slash hand pockets and a rear welt pocket keep the everyday carry ordinary enough to wear into a pub afterwards.
builds kit for people who already know what they need. These are for the walk where taking a daypack feels like overkill but stuffing your trouser pockets is not a plan either.
